It is a very good course for anyone who wants to create reports with GDS. I personally took it because I needed to create a report for a specific department at my company, and, since we use GDS as our BI tool, I took it as a chance to learn and deploy my report in GDS instead of in Excel (which was actually the original, simple, requirement). I'm confident now that I can build a much better report with GDS. Many thanks!
PS: half a start I deducted because the Orders file has issues and it has not been replaced yet. I addressed the instructor per E-Mail but haven't received a reply yet. This impacts the user experience negatively, since people may be building in parallel using the same data, as I started doing (afterwards I created my own GSheet with dummy data). I assume it would be a quick fix, so hopefully it will be resolved soon.
It is repetitious. It would suffice to tell us that each type of chart has these style option without repeatedly showing them. It would also be better to use a data set without issues . And it would be even better to have us make various graphs on our own along the way
All same things which we can figure out by playing around the tool. nothing new or advanced
I had difficulty following this course and part of that may be that I had no prior knowledge of Google Data/Looker Studio and this does say "Advanced Tutorial", but the course also says it's "Beginner-friendly". The audio quality tends to be very low, and there have been some apparent changes to Looker since this course was made aside from just the name. I got tripped up almost immediately just trying to register for it (it asked for a company name, which I didn't want to provide), and some of the course files would not work correctly when uploaded. All-in-all, I guess I now have a general idea of what Looker is and can do, but I may need more training if I ever needed to use it for a job.
