The instructor made things much more confusing than it should have been. Especially with the multiple times that they stated during the PHP portion that if something wasn't working, do this instead, when all they had to do to get it to work was add the missing closing statement to the PHP script, which would need to be added regardless of which way the person was putting in the code. Stick to one way of doing the code and showcase that.
Also, the use of arrays during the PHP section without telling the student that really what was going on was basically using an array, luckily I already know enough programming to know what an array looks like, but with this being a beginners course, a little more explanation should be done.
This is what I learned in my IT class, and it is good for reviewing.
